Hong Kong's foreign currency reserve assets rose to US$437.9 billion in March from US$434.4 billion in February, the Monetary Authority announced today.

Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, foreign currency reserve assets at the end of March increased to US$429.4 billion from February's US$427.2 billion.

The reserve assets represent about seven times the currency in circulation or 47% of Hong Kong dollar M3.
